School-based COVID-19 mitigation strategies such as wearing face coverings, two-metre distancing and minimising pupil mixing greatly impacted the primary school day.
Researchers in Population Data Science at Swansea University explored how these mitigation measures were associated with COVID-19 infection, respiratory infection, and school staff wellbeing.
The study, supported by ADR Wales and Health Data Research UK, was part of the One Wales approach to COVID-19 research.
Watch Dr Emily Marchant, an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow based in Population Data Science at Swansea University share the findings from the HAPPEN Wales Primary School Network’s latest collaborative research study.
