Centre Overview
The Environment and Health Research Centre (ENVHE) uses advanced data analysis techniques to understand the factors that influence health and wellbeing. ENVHE brings together geographers, epidemiologists, statisticians and data scientists who work with the routine health and social care data held within the SAIL Databank to produce policy-relevant insights. Our multidisciplinary team develop methods using robust, high-quality, state-of-the-art analytical tools and techniques suitable for publication in academic journals; demonstrate the value of data harmonisation and data linkage for a wide range of social, environmental and health applications, through the delivery of bespoke data linkage research projects; and increase the capacity of policy and practice stakeholders to understand, interpret and apply evidence for policy and practice development.
