The leading Population Data Science journal further expands its growing credentials with its inclusion in PubMed Central.
The International Journal of Population Data Science (IJPDS) is proud to announce their inclusion in PubMed Central.
It seems that 2020 is certainly the year for IJPDS! Not only has the journal recently been indexed in Scopus, but we are also delighted to announce that IJPDS has been accepted for indexing in PubMed Central® (PMC), and is now live on the platform. The IJPDS team has invested two years preparing for PMCs exacting requirements followed by a very rigorous 6 stage evaluation and set up process, before gaining PMC approval and securing this outstanding achievement. This is a significant addition to the journal’s impressive list of credentials and another positive step forward in the advancement of the field of Population Data Science.
Founding Editor-in-Chief, Professor Kerina Jones remarked that:
“IJPDS was launched only 3 years ago and I am immensely proud that we have already reached this pivotal moment at such an early stage – an incredible achievement! Population Data Science has the potential to make a positive difference to the lives of every single person on this planet, and our open access inclusion in PubMed Central means that the important research being shared through IJPDS is now accessible to millions of more people internationally. We are incredibly grateful to our highly respected authors for their ongoing contributions to IJPDS and the field as a whole.”
PMC, is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM) and contains more than 6 million full-text records, spanning several centuries of biomedical and life science research (late 1700s to present).
IJPDS Deputy Editor, Professor Kim McGrail added:
“Once again, we would like to thank everyone who has made IJPDS the success that it is – from journal staff to our editorial board, contributors and peer reviewers. We are excited about continuing to expand scholarship in the field of population data science with all of you.”
