The UK MS Register team at Swansea University are offering the chance to learn how to manipulate and analyse synthetic data from the MS Register using the R statistical programming environment. This free one-day workshop aims to provide you with the skills needed to use R in your own research and guidance on how to take these skills to the next level.
Who should take part in this course?
Health researchers with very little to no experience in the analysis of population health data, and a keen interest in developing the skills necessary to do so.
- Early Career Researchers with a background in medicine, research or informatics.
- Those working in academia, the NHS or medical research charities.
- Those who know SPSS but would like to learn R (something different and free to access).
- Those wishing to learn about the tools and techniques used in analysing big health care data.
No previous experience is necessary except feeling comfortable with using data in some form or another (eg excel spreadsheets). This event is free to attend, but if we receive a large amount of interest then preference will be given to those working in the field of MS.
