A team from Population Data Science at Swansea University has been awarded £828,353 from the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) COVID-19 Rapid Response Call, to help understand and address the challenges of the pandemic.
Trusted relationships, built on strong processes, policies and a common understanding have been at the heart the rapid delivery of research intelligence for the One Wales response to COVID-19.
In an open letter this week, sent to the UK Information Commissioner, Chief Medical Officers of the UK, and UK data providers, and signed by 374 signatories, SAIL Databank has been highlighted as an exemplar data access system.
Since the earliest days of the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK, the SAIL Databank has played a pivotal role in the One Wales strategic response to this unprecedented global threat.
In recent times our team of data scientists have been increasingly called upon to provide valuable intelligence based on the anonymised data that we securely hold within our very own, world leading SAIL Databank.
